In order to attain the Belize Gold Standard status from the Belize Tourism Board (BTB), every one of the company’s practices and protocols were examined, overhauled and updated to meet enhanced tour operator sanitation practices. Visitors will experience major changes in the way staff interacts with them as a direct result of revolutionary new workplace policies and operating procedures.
Business as usual for Barefoot staffers has been re-imagined, thus all bookings will adhere to these guidelines:
-New social distancing protocols for operators and guests
-Non-invasive temperature checks for both staff and visitors
-Exceptional cleaning and sanitation procedures to disinfect common areas
-Utilization of the Ministry of Health app to stay in the loop about updated virus-related news
-Face mask and personal protective equipment requirements for personnel
-Communication requirements that meet response guidelines for suspected illness
-Availability of sanitation stations and products
-Prioritized digital technologies for touchless transactions and booking
-Training classes for all employees (an ongoing mandate).
