Embark on the Belize Spice and Nim Li Punit Tour, where the captivating journey begins with a visit to the remarkable Maya site of Nim Li Punit. Step into the past as you wander through this remarkably well-preserved ancient city, seamlessly blending history, nature, and beauty for an unforgettable experience.

Belize boasts a rich history as a tropical spice haven. At the Belize Spice Farm and Botanical Garden, we proudly continue this tradition, adding a modern twist to the narrative.

Established in 1990, our Spice Farm not only cultivates cacao and citrus but also nurtures exotic fruits and precious wood trees like teak and mahogany. Explore the enchanting world of Indian spices, including cardamom, cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg. Immerse yourself in the Spice Farm’s rich history while savoring delightful exotic delicacies.

Our Spice Farm is a sanctuary of lush floral arbors, meticulously tended orchards, and vibrant wild bird sanctuaries. The air is imbued with the intoxicating fragrance of exotic plants and woods. You’ll be serenaded by the vibrant colors and melodies of wild parrots, parakeets, hummingbirds, toucans, and chachalacas.

Nim Li Punit, though a small Maya site, promises a delightful experience. Its original name may be lost to time, but its modern Maya name, meaning “Big Hat,” is fitting. Nim Li Punit boasts a remarkable collection of intricately carved stelae, including one depicting a chieftain adorned in an elaborate headdress or what we call a “big hat.” Despite its compact size, Nim Li Punit served as a ceremonial center for royal religious burials and sacred rituals, adding to its allure
