Thrills and Spills – Cave Tubing and Zip Lining in Belize

The exciting cave tubing and zip lining combination package begins with a hike through the jungle where participants will learn about the herbs, plants, and roots used by the ancient Maya for medicinal purposes. As participants approach the river, they’ll be given head lamps and instructed on how to safely use their inner tube. From there, the tour heads off along the river where participants will let the gentle currents take them into the enormous cave system. Along the way, participants can marvel at natural wonders like brilliant underground pools and glittering stalagmites and stalactites. After about an hour, the tour ends when the participants re-emerge into the bright jungle light.
From there, the tour heads deep into the rainforest for the zip lining portion. After receiving a safety lecture, participants will get strapped in to their safety gear and climb up high in the canopy. Depending on your fear of heights and adventurous spirit, participants can sail down a series of zip lines, many of which are several hundred feet in length.
What to bring on your tour
To make the most of these unique adventure combination, be sure to bring shoes/sandals that can withstand getting wet, a waterproof camera, towel, complete change of clothes, insect repellant, and protection from the sun. The tour is open to anyone who is 4 years old or older and weighs less than 300 pounds (136 kilograms). This combination tour of both cave tubing and zip lining will last all day, departing around 7:00 AM and arriving back at the starting point at approximately 5:00 PM.
Note: the price for this tour is US$165 per person and includes all transportation, park fees, use of inner tubes, other equipment, and a delicious lunch. No alcoholic drinks will be provided.
