Rebecca Rath, the winner of the Miss Belize competition and a recent competitor in the Miss Universe pageant, is back in Belize. Although she failed to win the pageant recently held in the Philippines, Rath was greeted with a hero’s welcome by throngs of adoring fans in Belize City.
Rath, who has spoken repeatedly to the press about her pride in representing Belize, will soon be visiting the Placencia Peninsula to meet with area youth and speak about her experiences in competing on the world stage. An accomplished athlete and proud native Belizean, Rath told the press that she feels like a true winner thanks to all of the support and love she has received from her fellow citizens.
Rath will be in the Placencia Peninsula on March 9-10, 2017. At 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 9, Rath will appear at the IHS auditorium to share her enthusiasm and inspiring personal story with students. On Friday, March 10, 2017, at 9:00 AM, Rath will appear in the village of Seine Bight. Two hours later, at 11:00 AM, Rath will travel to the village of Placencia on the south of the peninsula to share her inspirational vision and believe that dreams really do come true.
The sponsors are happy to welcome Miss Belize to the Placencia Peninsula. It will be so wonderful for the kids to meet a true local hero and see that there is lots of hope for all of their dreams
